Trinity Lutheran Church, Grove City, MN Church Council Agenda - Tuesday, November 18th 2025 @ 6:35 pm

CALL TO ORDER –Meeting was called order by Melissa Bergstrom.
Present: Kyle, Melissa, Joe, Pastor Donna, Chris, and Sonia.           Absent: Jake and Pam.
Faithful Innovations: Kyle talked about how thankful he is about how well the Parsonage is almost completed.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA - Sonia made motion Chris seconded.
1. Reports
a. Secretary - Joe Jans:
Chris made a motion to pass the secretary, Kyle seconded.
      Approved the amendment for last month (October) putting Gabby Swisher on the youth check book.
b. Treasure - Sonia Liedman:
Kyle made a motion to pass, Chris seconded
      We are following behind on contributions. We need the congregation to step up to help forward with this issue. Expenses have not changed much in the last year.
c. Pastor’s Report:
            `           ● December 28-January 4: Vacation (Lay Led)
● January 12-19, 2025: Continuing Education Prairie Fire (Pastor Led)
● Trinity Hosting the Crow River Conference on February 22@ 2:00pm Drinks and treats

• Getting ready for advent

 
a. Christian Education and Youth – Committee:
i. N/A
b. Organizations & Activities - (Fellowship – Jake)
i. Offering for the advent season goes towards general fund
     Chris made a motion, Kyle seconded
ii. December 17th, 2025, Council serves supper
c. Finance & Stewardship – Sonia: N/A
d. Missions & Outreach Ministry – Chris:
            i. Working on Project Hope for April
e. Personnel – Joe 
i. Joe is setting up a date with the janitors
ii. Met with Becky on the 19th of November for reviews
f. Sunday morning Accompanist, Worship, Music & Arts - Pam:
 i. Music Committee Update no music committee update, they will meet on the 17th, brief discussion on music, Donna has an application- subscription through December.
 
 
                 g. Properties - Kyle:
i. Looking to get a new lock for the office.
ii. Finishing up the final details of the parsonage.
3. Old Business
a. Swing set Project
i. Found someone to come take the old one
Ii. Some of the money from the holiday express will go towards the new swing set
4. New Business
a. Holiday Express 2025
i. Will be held on December 13th at Trinity. 
                  b. Organ repairs will cost around $30,000 - $50,000 - We are going to hold off for now
                  c. Nominating committee has to look for 3 new people to join the council
